‘As each one does their part, we grow in love’

Spring Term 2023

Spring 2- Our Topic was North America

What a term! We have been busy this half term with DT projects, sports events, and learning about inspirational people in the USA.

We began our term by studying Rosa Parks and the bus boycott. We then studied Martin Luther King and created speeches. We performed our speeches to Year 3 and 4.

A number of sports teams attended many events such as gymnastics, swimming, tag rugby and orienteering. Well done to the Gymnastics girls who won Gold!

In DT, we researched American Biscuits (similar to scones), made scones and then hosted an afternoon tea for parents.

We were very lucky to visit Chafyn Grove for a sports afternoon. The girls played netball and the boys played hockey. It was great fun and the afternoon was topped off with a hot chocolate and a flapjack!

A great term in Year 4- well done everyone!
