‘As each one does their part, we grow in love’

Autumn

September

18.9.19   Informal meeting for Parents about how we teach reading/phonics in Oak class.  In the teacher's staff room. 2.30-3pm.

October

2.10.19  Individual/sibling photographer in school.  Doors open for sibling photos (e.g. with toddlers/pre-schoolers) from 8.30am.  In school hall.

3.10.19  Harvest Service at St. Michael's All Angels church.  Service begins at 9.45am and we leave class at 9.30 from school to walk down and sit together in our classes.  Our Y6 buddies will be walking with us to church, sitting with us and helping with coats etc.  Parents are invited to join us at the service- sitting behind the classes at the back of the church.  For those Parents who are new to our school, the service celebrates Harvest time, is a mixture of short sermons about thankfulness alongside prayers and poems written by the older children and Harvest songs sung by the whole school and individual classes.  After the service (@45 mins) we will return to school, accompanied by our Y6 buddies and go out to play in the playground (the children always need a run around after sitting in church)

Please remember if you do come to the service, please try to talk with your child before the day, about what will happen-as some children can have a wobble and become upset if they see Parents as we leave church.  (many think they will be heading home after church rather than back to school!)  Many thanks.
