Spring Term 2025-26

World Book Day 2026

We had a great week to celebrate World Book Day on Thursday 5th March. Take a look at some of our costumes from WBD!

Science - Sound

We had a great time in science this week as we experimented with sound. We tried out a range of activities to help us understand how sound works. Why not try some at home?

This week we visited the Living Rainforest as part of our Jungles ad deserts topic. The children explored the tropical biome and learned more about the animals and plants that live there and how they are adapted to their very specific environment.

We saw a wide range of animals, and even had a close up encounter with Cinnamon the sloth!

Thank you to our three parents volunteers who came with us to support us on the trip.

Art - Sketching

Y4 are developing their sketching skills this half term. Our first lesson was focussed on tonal shading and using different effects to create light and shadow.

Geography - What is the weather like in the UK?

Y4 started their Jungles and Deserts topic by exploring the difference between weather and climate.

They studied maps of the uk's average temperate in January and July, comparing them and looking for patterns.
