Welcome back to all our families following the Easter holidays. It was lovely to see some sunshine and recharge the batteries after what was a very busy half term.
Looking to the term ahead, although it is another short one, there are lots of exciting things going on! Our enquiry question to kick us off is 'Do all living things need the same to survive?' Our learning focuses primarily on Understanding the World and in particular a 'science' focus on plants and what they need to grow and flourish. Our PE will be on a Friday only for the foreseeable future so please send your children in PE kits on this day only. We have a visit from the Community Police Officers in May when we can try on Police uniform and have a sit in a Police van! And please don't forget the Figsbury Challenge on 25th April which is a really fun event for all the family whether you are taking part in the run or not and of course a great money raiser for the school. Please take a look at the parent planner below to see in more detail what your little ones will be doing in the next few weeks.
Our new learning for the Summer 2 term begins with asking ourselves the question, 'Is all change good?' As we start to think about our next journey into Year 1 in September, we will be focusing on changes in our own lives, changes to our bodies and how we move from one place to the next. Our exciting trip to the River with our Year 6 Buddies will conclude our time with them at Winterbourne School and acts as a celebration of our friendships and in wishing them well on their next stages of their educational journey.
