WELCOME TO CHERRY CLASS 2025-26 🍒
Our class teacher is Mrs Bailey (Miss Wright is on maternity leave) and our teaching assistant is Miss Kerley.
On Wednesday afternoons, Miss Kerley will be teaching the class computing and music, and Mrs Tucker will be teaching RE and art on Friday afternoons.
Our PE days are Monday and Thursday. Please ensure your child comes into school with their PE kit on for these days and that long hair is tied back and earrings are covered with medical tape/removed.
This page will give you all the information that you need for your child's year in Cherry Class. We will have details of our half termly learning, pictures of the things we do, letters and information, so that you can follow your child's schooling experience. We hope that you and your child have a great year with us!
As the academic year draws to a close, we have been celebrating all that we have learnt and achieved in Cherry Class this year.
This term (Summer 2), we have baked our own bread from scratch. We have learnt about the history of our school, from when it opened by the Church in around 150 years ago through to it moving to the current site in 1996. We are very grateful not to be Victorian school children!
We have read some Winnie the Pooh stories and learnt that the real bear who inspired Christopher Robin to name his bear Winnie was a bear called Winnipeg who briefly lived with her friend on Salisbury Plains around 100 years ago.
In PE, we have been improving our aim with underarm and overarm throwing, and building our athletic skills. Finishing with some enjoyable whole-class games in the last week of term.
We were proud to celebrate our work in front of our parents, and the whole school, in a special celebration worship in the penultimate week of term.
