Spring Term 2!

We have had a busy and exciting half term in Cherry Class! We have been learning about different Explorers in history and discussing what traits a good explorer needs. In English, we have written a story as part of book week, a biography about Amelia Earhart and even had a go at our own Northern Lights poem! 

In Maths this half term, we have been learning about Place Value within 50, as well as measuring length and height and mass and volume. In Science, we have continued learning about classifying different animals including Carnivores, Herbivores and Omnivores and we have started learning about the changes between the seasons Winter and Spring. In PE, we have been working on our Team Building skills and learning how important communication is when we are trying to achieve a shared goal. We have also been working on our Sending and Receiving skills using throwing, kicking and rolling. In RE we have been learning all about the Christian story of Easter and were lucky enough to have our school chaplain, Nicky, come in and do an Easter workshop with us. 

Book Week was a highlight of this term and we really enjoyed dressing up as our favourite explorer characters for the day.
