World Book Day
DT - What could be Healthier
As part of our 'What could be Healthier' DT unit, we tested 3 different Spaghetti Bolognese sauces. We were trying to judge the flavours, aromas, textures and also which of the sauces was 'healthier'.
Winchester Science Centre
This week we visited the Winchester Science centre to support out understanding of forces and our solar system. The children had a great time in the planetarium enjoying solar system show, an explosive time making rockets to lunch with their rocket fuel in their workshop and loved exploring the range of exhibits around the centre.
Gymnastics Workshop
All children across the school had a Gymnastics workshop this week. Y5 really enjoyed chanelling their inner 'climer' and exploring our equipment in different ways.
Geography- Map making
In Geography, we have been learning about mountains. We have studied atlases and this week we created our own 'Topographical' maps to show the Himalayas.
