The Figsbury Challenge is a successful event that has been organised for more than 20 years by the Winterbourne Earls Primary School PTA and raises funds for the school and a designated charity. This year's charity is Place2Be, the UK's leading children's mental health charity providing in-school support to improve the emotional well being of pupils, families, teachers and school staff.
The day consists of 3 separate races: a 1km run for children in Reception, years 1 and 2, a 3km run for children in years 3-5 and a 5km run for children in year 6 upwards as well as adults. The event is designed to be inclusive and ideal for all ages/abilities, some people take the 5km very seriously whereas others just enjoy the fun of the day. Fancy dress is encouraged and keep your eye out for Figsbury fox!
Don't hesitate in returning your completed entry forms and should you have any questions please contact us : email@example.com
Wondering which distance/run the children should enter?
We've received a number of queries regarding the possibility of children running a longer or shorter race due to their differing abilities. In the name of 'inclusiveness', we've decided to permit these further options but please mail us (firstname.lastname@example.org) to discuss it prior to returning the entry forms. Anything to enable more children to participate and enjoy the day is of the utmost priority (they eat tonnes of cake so they're most welcome!)
Feel free to download the Figsbury Challenge 2018 Flyer to post on your works notice board, local shop, canteen etc
