What a start to the year we've had! We all came back to school for one day and then the government shut the school's for everyone but key workers. Despite this we've worked hard and achieved a lot with the home and school learners completing the same activities.
We are enjoying our Roman topic and loving the book Escape from Pompeii and using this book for Guided reading and as a text for our Literacy work. All the children are working hard to do the best work that they can. We have written information texts and diary entries in Literacy, in Maths we've looked at both formal and informal methods for multiplication and in Science we've started a topic on rocks and soils. I'm so proud of how well all of the children are coping with these challenging times and really appreciate all the support from parents.
Welcome back to the start of a new and exciting term in Beech class. I hope you all had a very Happy Christmas and New Year and wanted to thank you for the kind Christmas presents.
This term we are learning about The Romans.
I am putting the overview of the topic on here for your reference. Also, if your child has to self isolate for any reason and you need a few tasks to complete, then please use the English Spring activity booklet and the Maths multiplication and division booklet.
