Autumn Term 2
This term we have studied Anglo-Saxons and really enjoyed our story of Anglo-Saxon Boy. Next term, we hope to speak with the author Tony Bradman!
Memorable experiences have included:
Autumn Term 1
This term has been a busy one! We have packed lots into our learning this term and learned the routines of Year 4. In English, we have written non-chronological reports about The Vikings and written diary entries from Fishleg's perspective. We have really enjoyed our class book of 'How to Train Your Dragon' by Cressida Cowell. In Maths, we have covered Place Value and Addition and Subtraction methods. In Science, we have studied Changing Sound and carried out lots of investigations. We have investigated how sound can change with force and distance. In art, we learned how to stitch and created simple Viking Sail designs using running stitch.
In the last week of term, we had a Viking day. This was a great day led by Martin (also known as Ulf) who taught us all about the Viking way of life and battles. Check out our pictures below to see what great fun we had!
Next term:
Our topic is Anglo Saxons.
We have a trip to Salisbury Museum on Monday 8th November.
Parents evenings are on Monday 8th and Wednesday 10th November.
