‘As each one does their part, we grow in love’

Autumn Term 2021

Overview of the learning for this term

Well this term was certainly eventful!

Our residential trip to Braeside rightly was the lasting highlight. Many blessings were counted that this trip was able to be attended by all and that the weather was kind to us too.  There are plenty of photos of our wonderful trip on the main class page.

The children have loved studying the Ancient Greeks and re-enactment of famous battles and exploration of the inventions and people had us all captivated.

Through the DT technical challenge of building a battery powered, geared car from some raw elements had everyone realising that they were more capable than they knew. The euphoria as the cars moved was wonderful to see.

There were many other special events from sporting fixtures to musical concerts and Remembrance Day Service to special time with their Reception Buddies. There was so much to be proud of so the Christmas Party (which involved another DT challenge of building a suitable trebuchet to catapult marshmallows as an indoor snowball fight) was well deserved by all.

Well done on a fantastic term and I can't wait to see what you'll all achieve in the Spring!
