We've had an interesting lead up to Christmas. Our bubble burst but you did amazing adapting to home learning and we were able to be all back in school for the last week of December. We enjoyed some fun Christmas activities and it was lovely to be back as a whole class. I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
We started the term with a fantastic webinar session from historic workshops. The children learnt all about WW1 from an actor dressed as a WW1 soldier. They also investigated Flanders Field poem and reflected beautifully on the soldiers sacrifices.

In Science starting a new unit on habitats. The children went on a habitat hunt around school and did really well presenting their findings using the chrome books.
In music we are learning a special song and can't wait to perform it. Some of our talented musicians did a group performance in their guitar lessons which we enjoyed watching virtually as a class.

In topic they wrote diaries about the bus boycott and in English we have focused on the text The Firework Maker's daughter and the children have written some amazing adventure stories linked to this text.
