We have had a great start to year 4; the children have been very enthusiastic about our Stone Age topic and have already written information texts and newspaper reports linked to this. They have enjoyed a trip to Salisbury museum, as well as having the museum visit and make Stone Age houses with them.
In Maths, we have learnt a lot about place value and then children have worked incredibly hard on their problem solving skills. They understand place value up to 10 000 and can partition numbers.
Science has linked in well with our topic as we have been investigating rocks and soils; the children have carried out investigations and worked well as a team.
We had an amazing Literacy week when an alien spaceship landing in the school grounds helped inspire us to write outstanding stories.
